Professional Experience: |
Currently working as Director, Karamoja Cluster Project and Associate Professor at the University for Peace, Africa Programme. I am formerly the Managing Editor of a bi-annual peer reviewed journal; Africa Peace and Conflict Journal (APCJ). I am responsible for the design and iimplementation of all research, training and education programmes. I was previously a senior lecturer in the Institute of Peace, Leadership and Governance (IPLG) at Africa University in Zimbabwe. At IPLG, I coordinated the Peace and Conflict Unit and the institute’s training programmes. Prior to joining IPLG, I was the Conflict Resolution Specialist for the Carter Center in Zambia and served as a long term election observer.I was formerly director and trainer for the South-North Center for Peace building and Development. I have also served as the southern and eastern Africa representative for the Institute of Multi-Track Diplomacy (IMTD), a Washington, D.C.-based peace-building and conflict transformation organisation that utilises the systems approach to peace building.
