Professional Experience: |
Until June 2014, I am currently Assistant Project Officer in the Sustainable Transport Section at UNECE. My responsibilities included the preparation and follow-up of experts groups meetings on inland water navigation by: - servicing the 24th CEVNI Expert Group: taking notes, workingw ith the UNECE Economic Affairs Officer to draft the report - editing the English and French version of the 4th revised edition of the CEVNI, inserting the corresponding amendments and checking the formatting - drafting the English and French version of the two new resolutions derived from a resolution, checking the formatting - gathering data on the requirements for the issuance of boatmasters' licences in inland navigation
Before I did an internship at the Regional Office for Europe of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP ROE). I assisted the Programme Coordinator of the Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC) in the programme development. My responsibilities included: - drafting and editing various project documents - carrying out communication tasks: giving inputs and finalizing tha main ENVSEC publication ; updating and maintaining the ENVSEC website ; producing news items for the Newsletter and the website - taking responsibility for practical arrangements, providing administrative and logistic support to prepare high-level meeting ; taking notes and delivering minutes - assisting in some finance-related tasks such as helping to prepare the Trust Fund Allocation tables for the ENVSEC projects - conducting research on national environmental legislation to feed an online knowledge platform
In 2013, I interned in the Environment Division of UNECE and I support the Transport, Health and Environment Pan european Programme (THE PEP). My main tasks were the following: - conducting research on green economy and greening processes in Central Asia to prepare meetings - contributing to the preparation and organization of a capacity-building workshop focused on green and health-friendly mobility - communicating with the french government in order to prepare the high-level meeting, - editing of background documents (official letters), translation of non-official documents (french-english) - updating and maintaining the ClearingHouse, a web-based policy information platform

During my interdisciplinary Masters programme in European Studies that tackled today’s main european and global issues, I specialized in economics and political sciences. I gained a deeper insight and understanding of today's main european and global issues by following courses such as: - economic integration worldwide ; paper on "How can trade benefit the developing countries in globalization?" - economic integration of the EU - global governance ; paper on "Global environmental issues, toward a better environmental governance ?" - the economic relations betwenn the EU and developing countries - history of the political integration of the EU - financial and monetary integration of the EU ; paper on "Is the greek crisis at the origin of the sovereign debt crisis ?" - european geopolitics ; brief paper on "Europe and the Arab revolutions" - foreign policy of the EU and crisis management ; paper on "Europe and Libya, 2011-2013" - migrations and intercultural relations in Europe
I also hold a double french-german Bachelor degree. At the University of Regensburg, Germany, I was deeply engaged in political sciences studies. In particular, I led a research paper on the economic policy of the French government between 1981 and 1988 which analyzed the evolution and results of the government’s economic measures.
I wrote my bachelor thesis on the suggested reforms of the UN Security Council and the chances for Germany to get a permanent seat in the Security Council. I got a 1,3 mark (best german grade : 1,0)
