Professional Experience: |
I possess several necessary skills, such as business management, teaching and planning, and fluency in three major world languages. As a manager for an international retail corporation, I managed and developed teams, collaborated with various department heads, and maintained positive relationships between guests and vendors. My ability to speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese allowed me to develop close relationships with locals when I lived abroad in South America for nine months in 2011, during which time I gained an understanding of the individual, rather than global, needs of developing populations.
My most illuminative opportunity as of yet has been becoming an educator. With no prior teaching experience, I quickly became an effective middle school Spanish teacher within my first year. I exceeded my supervisors’ expectations in developing the Spanish program, but more importantly, I instilled passion and understanding of culture and language in my students. Teaching also improved my presentation and communication skills, motivational quality, and improvisational skills.

Education: |
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish with minors in Business Administration and Portuguese. I am currently applying to master's degrees in International Affairs that will allow me to grow and learn practice skills and knowledge in the fields of international education, human rights and humanitarian relief.
