MAs/LLM Graduate in International Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law (Dual diploma from the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of Development Studies), with an emphasis in Refugee and Asylum Law, and Human rights law. The dissertation focused on gaps in the asylum law processes for women and girls seeking asylum status on grounds of FGM and other gender-based persecution. The first postgraduate degree was a multidisciplinary Master's explored 'race' and racism, postcoloniality, histories of empire and contemporary social formations and inequalities in the UK and globally, considering how debates on 'race' and racism shape by the global geopolitics of the twenty-first century. Dissertation entitled: 'The Coca Controversy: Examining the effects of eradication policies on indigenous Andean cultures and development.'
