Regarding my engagement at a humanitarian level, I have been volunteering for a year and a half for a Geneva- based NGO, called “the Global Alliance against Female Genital Mutilation “ (GA-FGM). This NGO who uses culture, music and arts in its awareness campaigns is, officially supported by the Swiss Commission for UNESCO. I sincerely hope to expand my experience in humanitarian affairs and become an added value for this job.

Working with children has always been a passion. From 1996 to 2006, I have worked closely with children with special needs: attention deficit hyperactivity , autism and foster children. I also worked as a classroom assistant in daycare centers with children of various and complex cultural backgrounds. Finally, I also provided professional daycare services in my own house for 6 years in France (neighboring the International Geneva and United Nations Agencies) . In this capacity, I worked on the cognitive and motor development of the children, with a thorough documentation via monitoring and observation. Some of these children had problematic parents, a situation which let me to develop negotiation skills and work closely with parents and families in crisis.
We, in the western world have the privilege to have a direct access to medical and psychological assistance. Through the teachings of my social educative work and the IDHA I want to expand that knowledge to the benefit of poor communities, where this type of medical assistance is highly needed.
In my volunteer work with the Global Alliance against Female Genital Mutilation, as a treasurer and corporate photographer, I developed additional skills in fundraising and photo journalism. Also I graduated on the 22 march 2013 at the Fordham University of New-York, for the course International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance. I trust that this heartfelt letter of motivation expressing my true passion for humanitarian affairs and children will allow me to be invited for an interview
