Professional Experience: |
I have worked for private sector (Artumas, Anadarko),NGO's (WWF, IUCN) and international agencies (UN, World Bank) My focus is environmental protection and conservation as well as environmental remediation and restoration especially related to oil contamination. I am also very interested in climate change adaptation, sustainable green growth and disaster response management.
My work experience has included extensive fieldwork, environmental, vulnerability, and socio-economic assessments, coastal programme development and management of environmental, conservation and resource use initiatives (e.g. fisheries) as well as hydrocarbon exploration and energy programmes using results based management. This work has further included experience in habitat restoration and rehabilitation that has included remediation of hydrocarbon and hazardous waste contamination and consideration of climate change adaptation in project designs and sustainable technologies. The majority of this work has been conducted in remote and challenging locations in Africa (Tanzania and Mozambique) and the Middle East and has often required innovative approaches to dealing with various conservation, environmental and social issues or problems encountered. More recently I have been involved with the planning for resettlement, compensation mechanisms and agricultural and fisheries livelihood restoration programmes for physically displaced and economically affected communities to IFC Performance Standards.
I am now searching for new employment and consulting opportunities related to my experience. Please contact me if you have any ideas or interest of my employment or for consultancy
