Professional Experience: |
I have 13 years’ experience as a humanitarian worker, mostly in conflict/post conflict and displacement contexts across Africa, Middle East , Asia, and Europe.
During my experience, I had the chance to coordinate large multi-disciplinary teams including different backgrounds and nationalities, leading me to develop excellent leadership, mediation and communication skills. The approach I have developed towards my colleagues, based on active mentoring and coaching, has revealed to be effective in creating positive and cohesive teams and in enhancing professional growth of team members.
During my career I have coordinated the design and management of complex and high values humanitarian programs funded by major Institutional donors (EU, UNDP, UNICEF, UNODC, SIDA, DANIDA, MAE, ECHO, DFID ...), thus acquiring strong program and budget management skills.
I have worked as a consultant both conducting external evaluations of humanitarian programs within the Middle East and supporting NGOs in assessing needs and defining country and regional strategies within humanitarian settings.
Throughout the years, I have acquired solid representation and fundraising skills. I have represented the organizations I was working with in front of International Donors, National Authorities, NGOs and media. I have succeeded in securing funds and strategic partnerships.
Having worked mostly in volatile settings such as the Middle East (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan) Turkey and Pakistan, I have developed solid risk management skills, leading risks assessments, writing Health Safety and Security manuals/protocols, managing security pools. I have also grown excellent stress management, problem solving and rapid thinking skills.
