Professional Experience:
I have gained extensive academic research experience in international laboratories in Italy, Australia, USA and France, mostly in HIV.
Subsequently, given my interest in issues related to health and development, I decided to apply my scientific mindset along with my organizational skills to managing projects with a more direct impact on public health.
I started by joining the team of the Ebola virus disease diagnosis laboratory of the Institut Pasteur in Macenta, Guinea, working in close contact with the staff of the French Red Cross, which ran the Ebola Treatment Center.
For three years, I have led two projects at the Department of International Affairs of the Institut Pasteur to improve health safety in six countries in sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia. The purpose of these two programs was to strengthen the capacity of national public health systems to better prevent, detect, report and respond to health emergencies. The ASIDE (Alerting and Surveillance for Infectious Disease Epidemics) project was supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (5M$ over 5years). The PROPOMEN (Improving the protection of the Nigerien population against the risk of meningitis epidemic) project was supported by the Monegasque cooperation for development (300k€ over 3 years).
I am currently the Research and Scientific Coordinator of the RISE (Research, Innovation, Surveillance and Evaluation) project. Implemented by the Institut Pasteur de Madagascar and financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (7.5M$ over 5 years), the RISE project aims to facilitate public health decision-making in Madagascar based on scientific data on malaria, mother and child health and infectious diseases control.

Sixteen years of professional experience on four different continents, with colleagues of different nationalities and training, have been very rewarding both professionally and personally. They allowed me to broaden my professional skills, and strengthen my organizational, analytical and writing skills, my autonomy and my dynamism, and also to acquire versatility, openness, ability to adapt to new environments and easily create trusting relationships with people from different cultures. These are my best assets, with my rigor, motivation and enthusiasm.
