Highly experienced financial sector professional with 30 years total experience and over 20 years’ consultancy work in financial development projects in Brazil, Latin America, The Caribbean, Africa and worldwide, specialized in ESG, Climate- & Green finance;
More than 15 years of experience as Team Leader and Project Director in complex, multi-stakeholder technical assistance projects on behalf of German and European donors (incl. GIZ, KfW, BMZ, DGRV and EBRD);
Excellent experience in training and capacity building of Central Bank & commercial banking staff;
Long-standing experience in management and technical positions at MSME banks in numerous contexts;
Considerable experience in central bank regulation and risk management, esp. climate, social and environmental risk management (contributed to the inclusion of TCFD in the Brazilian banking regulation);
Extensive experience in developing innovative green & sustainable financial products with particular focus on renewable energy initiatives and green agriculture, with both equity and fixed-income instruments;
Extensive network in the Brazilian & Latin American banking industry, including sector associations and market regulators.
