Advocacy

Enterprising lawyer with experience of working within the different United Nations, human rights bodies, treaties and mechanisms. Worked with governments, National Human Rights Institutions and NGOs advocating at the international level, namely at the Human Rights Council on Human Rights Education and Training, and Freedom of Religion or Belief. Proficient in linking international legal frameworks with grassroots issues, have advocated human rights issues at the national level in India, pertaining to the rights of women and children and those affected by human trafficking. A strong strategic thinker, initiated and co-created awareness campaigns founded in local norms and worked with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Women and Children of Mysore, local (village) authorities, NGOs, private companies and educational institutions
