Three years of hands-on work as a research analyst for The Cline Center for Democracy, a think-tank at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, conducting research projects observing the dynamics of global political conflict. Duties included identifying, compiling, and analyzing events of destabilizing behavior by government or sub-state actors utilizing a series of complex survey protocols designed to extract important and relevant information from historical world news and intelligence reports. Further responsibilities included providing feedback and for scholarly reports and suggesting improvements to the protocol’s operations.
Assigned significant duties as an intern at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland for the Tobacco Free Initiative – Surveillance and Monitoring department. Vastly improved team collaboration through assisting working with senior professionals in various fields from around the world conduct research for economic reports, data analysis, and reviewing legal drafts. Performed industry research and monitored open-source information for department personnel. Adapted to several communication and information systems utilized by the WHO, such as the Global Health Observatory, through technical research, proofreading and implementing data into complex databases.
