Worked at the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in Malawi employed by the German Government to support devolution of physical planning and land management functions and develop a countrywide standardization of planning and land management guidelines and administrative procedures. Worked at Kigali City Council supporting the Comprehensive Master Planning process, public participation in planning, urban upgrading, land tenure regularization, and low-cost housing.
Highly experienced with informal urbanization in Africa and expertise in identifying citizen needs, capacities, and architectural traditions through surveys and other formal and informal information gathering.
