In charge of the coordination of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) World Heritage Sites (WHS) programs
• Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the WHS programs and grantees in DRC and the links with others African WHS;
• Provide technical advice to Party and raise the awareness of the DRC authorities on the values and biodiversity conservation issues of the World Heritage sites
• Provide training and capacity building for the DRC government;
• Carry out diplomacy activities in the conservation of the WHS;
• Lead the process of gathering information and preparing reports on progress of program implementation, assessing results and identifying areas for the World Heritage Committee’s decisions on the state of conservation of the DRC sites, review deliverables and ensure quality;
• Strengthen cooperation with United Nations (UN) agencies for the biodiversity conservation of the sites;
• Develop joint programs.

In charge of the technical cooperation with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) government institution in charge of the protected areas management (ICCN)
• Provide strategic and technical council on approaches, techniques and research to address highly complex issues on biodiversity, climate policy and sustainable human development at the level of government, donors, public sector organizations and private sector organizations;
• Support revision of the biodiversity strategy and Research framework -including climate change, genetic resources and development issues- development & operational planning;
• Support ICCN director committee in the assessment of the annual work plans, the progress monitoring the achievement of goals and targets, and present the general director with recommendations to assist in development planning;
• Support ICCN in leading the Trust funds implementation process;
• Support ICCN in the development and implementation of the coordination processes amongst government institutions, technical & financial partners, and civil society;
• Review and evaluate proposals submitted to the German cooperation
• Review terms of reference, identification and selection of service providers under German Cooperation strategic programs.
