Professional Experience:

Programmatic and Management: Provide support to effective management of Christian Aid’s Colombia programme, advising on strategic direction, ensuring that the country programme is aligned with the overall country strategy. Manage the agreed partnerships, projects and related budget developing procedures and systems to ensure effective administration. I am responsible for responsible for projects evaluations and impact measurement and reporting. I deliver specialized capacity building to partners and provide hands-on support on budgeting, advocacy strategy, reporting and accountability. I realize timely, qualified and exhaustive monitoring systems for donor-funded projects. Design and report on baselines that allow determining the direction and magnitude of progress achieved. Implement complex M&E systems, carry out improve data collection and data analysis, deliver trainings in M&E and respond to demanding donor requests increasing the institutional levels of accountability. Implement HAP principles and standards helping partners to meet high standards of accountability and quality management. Participate in projects audits and follow up the recommendations. Fundraising: Develop strong fundraising proposals (both institutional and private). Provide in time grants reports. Maintain relationships with donors. Advocacy: develop advocacy activities related with territorial rights, impunity, protection and governance issues, with national and international authorities and bodies. Gender: train partner and colleagues in gender and protection. Support partners to improve the management of community-based development programmes with gender mainstreaming and diversity considerations.
Key outcomes: projects are regularly monitored and audited. Improved PM&E methods and tools for better result measurement, accountability and learning. Strong grant proposals elaborated based on the Country Strategy and additional funds obtained for the programme. Positive relationships maintained and deepened with partners through effective communication. Advocacy work by Christian Aid has complemented the work of partners. Decisions on programme work in the country informed by Christian Aid’s national and global strategic focus areas. Country Programme able to respond to and support Christian Aid’s global advocacy, fundraising and communications agenda.
