Professional Experience:
I have managed complete program cycles covering a variety of programmatic sectors including social cohesion and conflict mitigation, local NGO capacity building, infrastructure rehabilitation, youth development, and gender equality. I have also worked in emergency environments, managing distributions and cash for work programming.

I have worked with several donors including USAID, OFDA, the UN, the EC, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), and private donors. I have worked closely with government officials throughout the former Soviet Union, Mongolia and the Middle East. I am well aware of the challenges that can emerge in countries where the rule of law is not always adhered to, and where one must quickly initiate contingency plans.

I have particular experience and knowledge of the countries of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, due both to experience on the ground and my academic background. Moreover I conducted research on the ground for the National Bureau of Asian Research on possible links between infrastructure and conflict.

Twice in the past eight years my career has been disrupted by extended medical emergencies. I am fully healthy now, having been given clearance by my doctor to resume my career as before. I am therefore eager to find a good fit for my knowledge, skills, and experience.
