I have more than 15 years of work experience with a special focus on health policy, health financing and management. My experience come from working in Tanzania, with short involvement on tasks in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, and Ethiopia. I am currently country Director of International NGO, PharmAccess. before i joined PharmAccess, i worked at private health insurance companies at management position. |

I started my career as a general practitioner at National Hospital, Muhimbili before joining general insurance company, Phoenix Assurance Tanzania Limited where i was to establish a health insurance department. After my Master's degree i joined a health insurance company, AAR Insurance as Operations Director where i oversee membership and claims department. In 2010 I joined International NGO PharmAccess as Project Manager, where i was leading health financing project in Northern part of Tanzania. Five years latter i was promoted to a program Director position, where my scope was broaden to include all demand side financing and quality programs. with the position, i was also involved in different tasks at other country offices in Africa. In 2019 I was promoted again to a Country Director position and become the first African country Director at PharmAccess Tanzania office. As Country Director i am responsible to Oversee implementation of organization strategy and ensure vision and mission are attained.In addition to implementation role, i am also responsible to build and maintain partnership with government and non-government stakeholders, advocating for the broad organization goals and support head office in fund raising.

I have Master's in health policy, finance and management (Muhimbili University of Health & Allied Sciences) and a degree in Medicine from University of Dar es salaam. In addition I attained Diploma of Global Health (University of Tampere, Finland) and several certificates from University of Bergen, Norway; World Bank and GiZ.

Affiliations and Achievements: |
1. I was a team leader in designing a hybrid community health insurance program, iCHF which was piloted by PharmAccess and later adopted by government to become a national scheme.
2. I led the team which conducted evaluation and proposed a re-design of the Social Health Insurance Benefit (SHIB)scheme, provided by National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
3. I was involved in providing technical assistance to Zanzibar government on the establishment of Social Health Insurance, a support involved designing structure of organization which oversee the scheme, designing of the benefit package and scheme administration stucture.
4. I led the establishment of health insurance department at private general insurance company, phoenix Assurance of Tanzania. The department was established and managed to enroll 5 corporate clients before i left for my Master's studies.
5. As a Country Director, I oversee establishment of digital loan products for healthcare enterpreneuers in partneship with tele company, Vodacom.
